This is highly interested of having so many sunny days in a year. No wonder there are so many people happy in that city. Studies have shown that sun light elevates mood in people and El Paso citizens are lucky enough to have so much sunlight on them. Stay happy and playful El paso.

Wow...This is the ideal mayor that every city in this country should have as their leader. El Paso residents are lucky to have so much contentment as one of their auras. Some of these other videos show like if it was a play or staging. El Paso's video is factual and appears like its genuine. Congratulations El Paso. Keep up with your HAPPY and PLAYFUL fever. Make it contagious!!!

BEE commented 11/30/2007

Great City to live and play, especially with our four-legged friends!!!

BlairTHD commented 12/06/2007

El Paso is a thriving border community that combines the advatages of a major metropolitan center with the ambience and neighborly charm of a modern western town. We have the very best medical degree programs available for students at the University of Texas at El Paso. The distinctive blend of native Indians, Spanish explorers and Western cultures have enriched the city's cultural life in its art, music, architecture and cuisine. It offers a multi-million-dollar Convention and Performing Arts Center, Fort Bliss Army Base, and Hueco Tanks State Historical site, as well as many museums and histrocial sties that commemorate its colorful history and diverse heritage. a blair THD

The best city in the state of Texas is San Antonio because it doesn’t suffer from the lack of political confidence that El Paso does.

The Arts are alive and well here. We have a theatre which has been dedicated to children as performers and as audience for 18 years. We have an Arts Center specifically for children. We have the El Paso Playhouse, a 45 year old institiution of community theatre. We have the Plaza Theatre, a magnificent state of the art total environment theatre which hosts professional touring companies and local groups, the breathtaking McKelligon Ampitheater, the Arial Tramway, where you can see two nations and three counties. Rock on, El Paso!

BLICON commented 12/12/2007

I HAVE BEEN PROVIDING MUSIC FOR OVER THREE DECADES IN OUR CITY. OUR PEOPLE, OUR MOUNTAINS, OUR WEATHER, OUR TRAFFIC , OUR FEEL OF A SMALL CITY, ARE PRICELESS. I WOULD NOT TRADE IT FOR THE WORLD. IF I COULD DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN WITH MY CHOICE OF ANY CITY, I WOULD DO IT RIGHT HERE. I LOVE YOU EL PASO! BARBARA LICON

El Paso is the largest city on the US-Mexico border and has its sister cities of Cd. Juarez, Mexico to the South and Las Cruces, New Mexico to the West. El Paso has within its City limits Ft. Bliss, one of the largest military installations in the US and also the Tigua Indian Nation. There is a unique blend of people and cultures in El Paso that can be found nowhere else in the United States. El Paso is a progressive City that offers a multitude of things for people to do to "Play" depending on their interests. Many of them are sponsored or supported by the City of El Paso. For physical activity there are many facilities such as City parks, swimming pools, recreation centers and Senior Citizen centers. We even a dog park so that we don't leave out our pets when we "Play"! There are also bike trails, Franklin Mountains for hiking, schools and malls for walking. For music and arts we have history and art museums, a symphony, an opera, professional choral groups, professional dance groups, several playhouses. There is too much more to list! The City government has its pulse on the community and is a vital sponsor and supporter of many festivals, cultural events, concerts, dances, sports leagues and other activities where people and their family can participate and "Play". El Paso is alive and vibrant and getting better and better each and every day. I am so proud to live in El Paso!! El Paso is AWESOME!! I LOVE EL PASO!!!!!

GabrielLee commented 12/16/2007

Reading the e-mail from the Manhattan Heights Neighborhood Association's President, which I find the assoc. amazing in itself, I got connected to this site... and just had to comment. Born in Seattle, raised in SoCal, I decided that EP was my kind of town. People ask, "You? El Paso??" and I comment, "Well, look at it this way, I know all of my surrounding neighbors, all have my phone number(s) and some have my house keys." Phone calls to hook up utilities, end sharing stories, police call back to detail discussion points on a irresponsible dog owner, clerks at the gas stations are actually pleasant and people always say hello/hola passing on the street. Every one of my out-of-town guests has returned, and it's for nothing more than to get away and have their much needed reality check. They get it. El Paso is not a nice place to visit, it's a great place to live.

sewiggs commented 12/17/2007

My kids grew up playing soccer in the NESL and El Paso Youth Soccier Assn. Our best memories as a family were created on the soccer fields in the Northeast. We loved it so much that we became league administrators and coaches. As a family we played together as we grew together in this great city. We are proud to be El Pasoans. As my boys grew to be men they realized how great it was growing up here when they moved to another city. You must experience this great place to truly appreciate it!!

BIGJIM commented 12/18/2007

El Paso is a great place to bring up the family. Crime rates really low. Great weather year round and a big time family first attitude. Great city for outdoor activities incl; Softball, Baseball, Tennis, Basketball, Bar-B-Qing, Jogging, Walking, Riding (motorcycle and bikes) and only a couple of steps from seeing 3 states, 2 countries, and some of the greatest Mexican/American Heritage in the world.

Marlena commented 12/18/2007

El Paso has the best weather and the friendliest people! Plus, for a city our size, we are one of the safest in the nation!! You can walk almost all year round. You can walk to another country (Mexico) or another state (New Mexico). Soccer is second nature to our city especially with Mexico being right next door...we are international.

Lttinman commented 12/18/2007

El Paso is a great place to live. I consider El Pasoans everyone who lives in the city, county, and neighboring cities because we share the same values and culture. We are a diverse community and respect each others taste in music, art, home decor, and choice of faith. Speaking of faith, El Paso has numerous church's (large and small) that do great things for the citizens of El Paso. Abundant Living Faith Center is a non-denominational church that feeds our public servants (Police, Sheriff, and Fire Personnel) during the holidays when everything else is closed.

Please vote for El Paso ! The grant money will help make recreation available to ALL children. With all the worries of life, children deserve to be carefree and innocent as long as possible. $25,000 would lay a good foundation for future projects. No telling what we can do together!!

Robbyr44 commented 12/18/2007

I was born and raised in El paso!! I left this wonderful city twice....I lived one year in Austin and later spent a year and a half in San antonio! Those were nice cities but they were not home!! I really believe that tis is the best place to raise a family!! Our crime rate is very low and traffic is nowhere near as bad as other cities in Texas...especially San Antonio!! I don't plan on leaving anymore but if I do I know that I will always return!!!!

jslozano commented 12/18/2007

Vote El Paso as Playful City USA! It is a great place to grow up, get an education and start your life. I have lived elsewhere (Austin, and Toronto) and know that not only is El Paso my home, but it's full of opportunities. Others may not think so, but it is what you make of it. I really hope we can win this grant. Viva El Paso! :)
